Trigger Point

What it is

Trigger Point Therapy is a treatment of the soft tissue by applying pressure to a particular area or body part to help release tension.

These painful knots in your fascial tissue, connective tissue, and/or muscles can restrict blood flow and delay healing.

Length of pressure and the amount of pressure is determined by the tissue being treated.  It's a technique used to both improve soft tissue activation or suppress it.

What to expect

Trigger point can be a painful therapy but should always be conducted according to each individuals pain tolerance.

Fingers, hands, elbows and certain tools can be used to compress the desired tissue.

Deeper tissues demand more pressure so the positioning of pressure is important and again, conducted within the patients pain levels.

What conditions Trigger Point can help

  • Improved Circulation
  • Reduced Tension and Stress
  • Improved Mobility and Flexibility
  • Increased Energy Levels
  • Better Sleep
  • Relief From Headache Pain
  • Improve Posture
